Music Monday: The Apache Relay

I first heard these guys on noisetrade's fall sampler and haven't been able to get this song out of my head since. It's one of those songs that moves me and makes me want to worship, even when it's not about God. Plus, if you're a band in which most of the members look like hippies and at least one of the members makes crazy movements and faces, I automatically think you're awesome!

senior session: Josh

Josh is Natalie's boyfriend and contacted me after her senior session about doing his. It was really fun! We went down to Oakley, a cute little town in Cincinnati where Matt and I used to live. I was really excited because I knew Oakley would not disappoint in the photo opp department. Then we went to Ault Park, a beautiful spot in Cinci. Here are a few of my faves from Josh's session:

senior session: Natalie

This is Natalie, and this is her last year of high school!! I was really excited to take her picture because, as you can see, her features are gorgeous. She was really fun to photograph and is SO sweet. Here are a few of my faves from her session:

daydreaming...

I often find myself thinking of my dream house. It's always in a country setting, but within walking or bike riding distance to a little town with locally owned shops and restaurants. There are wood floors and lots of windows. There is a large front porch w/ a swing and rocking chairs and a deck on the back.There is an abundance of flowers and trees and sky, and a large garden because of my glorious green thumb. And there are goats and chickens. And dogs. And kitties. And all our closest friends live in the surrounding houses. Yes. That is my dream house/life. 


This morning I have been pondering my dream house while simultaneously browsing pinterest. You know what that means! Oh yes, you're about to get my dream house in pictures!

Sigh.

Music Monday: Brianna Gaither

I had a feature on the old blog called "music monday" that I want to keep going here. Basically, I love music, and it's nice to share a video of a song that I really like or is speaking to me at the moment.  Today I'm sharing a song that I really love and only just heard recently by Brianna Gaither. Her voice is just amazing to me, and this song makes me feel happy. The video is so sweet! I hope you enjoy it as much as  I do!!

Christine and Cameron

I wanted to post a few shots of a love session I did last month. Cameron and Christine were a dream! They were comfortable in front of the camera and I had to give them very little direction. I loved watching them interact, and the way Cameron looks at Christine is heart melting! They are full of love for Jesus and people, and just left for a trip to India where they will help in the  healing process for girls who have rescued from the sex trafficking industry. They also just got engaged, so there's a lot going on in their lives! Congrats on everything, Cameron & Christine! You two are blessed and I know you will continue to be!

welcome to my new blog!

A few months ago, hubby and I decided to go in a different direction. I stopped writing on our joint blog and promoting our joint store, and started focusing on my own thing. I am so excited to finally open floors are flowers, and sell something I LOVE. This blog will be a way for me to share with you things from my shop, photo sessions with photography clients, and any other random goodness I choose to share. Thanks for being patient with me while I get everything going. I am so excited to share this next chapter of my life with all of you!!
